Breathing is the Prime Directive

Bigger jaws mean a bigger airway. A bigger airway means being able to better meet the body’s primary physiological need, which is air intake.

Air comes before food and water on the body’s list of priorities. Humans can survive without food for weeks. Without water for days.

Without air? A few minutes or less.
