Snoring - Not Just a Funny Noise

Source: The New York Times

Many of us come to JawHacking because of sleep disordered breathing. Whether we lightly snore on occasion, or have full-blown sleep apnea, no amount of sleep disordered breathing is okay.

To cure sleep disordered breathing, we must open our airway, and this primarily involves bringing the tongue up and forward out of the throat.

Adapted from: Merck Manuals

You can test this out yourself with the following exercise: create a snoring sound right now. Now make it louder. As loud as you can! Next, consciously jut your lower jaw as far forward as possible and try again to create the snoring sound.
