Why Mewing Alone Doesn’t Grow Adult Faces

So far we have seen that facial habits such as tongue posture, chewing tough foods, and nasal breathing can impact facial development.

But what does this mean for adults? Can adults with underdeveloped structure simply Mew away all their problems, without the need for artificial expansion?

There are two primary reasons why they cannot:

  1. the effect of Mewing on bone growth diminishes rapidly with age

  2. even if Mewing could grow bone in adults, many men and women are too underdeveloped to properly Mew in the first place.

In this chapter we will focus on the first point—that the older we get, the less potential Mewing has to change our facial bone.
