Can Mewing Grow Bone in Adults?

I discovered Mewing in 2014 at age 24. At that time I was living at a Buddhist monastery near San Diego, CA.

In fact, I had begun researching tongue posture and palate expansion because during meditation practice I had realized that my mouth was too small for my tongue.

In the Vitakkasaṇṭhāna Sutta, the Buddha teaches that a monk should meditate with “his teeth clenched and his tongue pressed against the palate.” [src]

While some take this instruction to be a figurative reference to meditating with intensity, I took it literally.
